BAWS is structured for transparency at every level—from local operations to ecosystem governance. Oversight comes from a trusted governing board made up of core team members and respected Berachain ecosystem partners and advisors, with community participation through the DAO.
Financial Visibility: On-chain wallets and spending categories are mapped to program areas like shelter operations, outreach, and animal care—ensuring all transactions are trackable. Board oversight enables milestone-based treasury disbursement and long-term accountability.
Operational Reporting: Quarterly updates and campaign summaries keep partners and contributors informed of progress, outcomes, and resource use. Foundation reports are submitted regularly to the governing board for review and approval of additional disbursements.
DAO Participation and Progression: The BAWS DAO, composed of NFT and token holders, will gain increasing influence over time—starting with proposal input and progressing toward funding and program-level votes. A rotating seat on the governing board gives the community a direct voice in decision-making while maintaining experienced leadership and structured accountability.
